“I recently closed on a house I sold in Rabun County. I was so pleased with Tambrie’s service every step of the way! She was helpful, available, positive, sincere, and so reassuring throughout the process. Her experience and guidance was just what I needed , and the outcome was so much better than I expected going in. Her office staff was very attentive and timely, and viewing and signing documents couldn’t have been easier. I highly recommend Tambrie and her team for a successful experience!”

“Tambrie was excellent in every aspect of helping us buy a new home. She took us to multiple homes in one day. She pointed out things we needed to be aware of in the homes and area. We felt that Tambrie had our backs throughout the process. No matter what issues arose, she and her staff dealt with it a timely, professional manner.”

Stroll along Main Street and enjoy browsing through art galleries, antique shops, a bookstore, clothing boutiques, and a hardware store. Follow up your stroll with delicious foods and treats at a throwback soda fountain or opt for a farm to table dining experience. A local farmer’s market on Saturday mornings throughout the spring, summer, and fall has wonderful selections of herbs, produce, baked goods, and more. Many homes and active senior condominiums are conveniently located close to shopping and dining. Dillard

If you have been to Rabun County, you have likely heard of The Dillard House. The famous and historic Dillard House Inn and Restaurant is our landmark, with Rabun Manor and York House Inn as beautiful complements. The Dillard family settled the area in the late 1700s. They built a haven for travelers and residents that made life in the rugged mountains a little easier. Today, antique shops and restaurants line the streets of this warm community. Don’t miss the spectacular July 4th fireworks show that brings in many people from all over the county. The quiet community and homes here are typically older and have been remodeled or restored. There are several subdivisions with beautiful custom homes as well.

Lake Burton

Lake Burton is the largest lake in the county, with over sixty miles of shoreline and provides hydroelectric power to Atlanta. Homes on the lake can range from lovely classic cottages to beautiful Adirondack-style lodges. The Lake Burton Club is a beautiful golf course community with breath-taking views of the lake and mountains. Whether you are an avid golfer, lake lover, hiker, or you just want to relax and take in the gorgeous views, Lake Burton has it all! Near Lake Burton is also the Persimmon Community where the trout fishing and camping is some of the best in the county. Peaceful living at its best!

Lake Rabun

Lake Rabun is a popular summer getaway for families from Atlanta and the surrounding areas. Mountain City

The location of this town is special because it is on the Eastern Continental Divide in the Blue Ridge Mountains at an elevation of over 2100 feet. Mountain City is home to the Foxfire Museum, where you can experience pioneer culture among log cabins with artifacts from the early Appalachian settlers. Visit Black Rock Mountain State Park, a popular attraction in Mountain City. Enjoy the glorious views from this state park which is the highest park in Georgia. Mountaintop cottages and camping, a playground, hiking trails, and a fishing lake make this park a great place for the entire family.

Rabun Gap

Rabun Gap is probably most well-known for Rabun Gap-Nacoochee School, a private boarding school. The school is rich in history and continues to serve day and boarding students from all over the country and the world. Rabun Gap is home to 12 Spies Vineyards and Osage Farms, a popular stop for vacationers and locals alike. Osage is a busy working farm providing favorite seasonal items for every season of the year. A flea market, a railroad museum, and a plant nursery are other popular destinations in Rabun Gap. Whether you enjoy a valley view or a mountain view in a quiet community setting, Rabun Gap can provide all of these options.

Seed Lake

Lake Seed is the smallest of the three main lakes in Rabun County. The lake has thirteen miles of shoreline, one public boat ramp, and a campground along the western shore. Sky Valley

Sky Valley is the highest city in the state of Georgia and it is surrounded by the Nantahala National Forest. Sky Valley has gorgeous mountain terrain featuring waterfalls, hiking trails and glorious long range views. While the Sky Valley Country Club is member-owned, the par-72 championship golf course remains open to the public and was recently renovated. If golf is not your pleasure, you’ll also find many shops, fine dining restaurants, award-winning vineyards, luxurious spas, and fine arts and antiques. Sky Valley is becoming a very popular year-round vacation and destination wedding venue. Many of the homes and condominiums in Sky Valley are reminiscent of an Alpine village and the community has a chapel, golf course, community center, fishing lakes, gentle hiking trails, and waterfalls. When the day’s excitement comes to an end and you’re ready to relax and be rejuvenated, come home to Sky Valley, Georgia, where an extraordinary quality of life exists.

A suspension bridge spans the beautiful waterfalls, including Hurricane Falls, that you won’t want to miss! The glorious gorge has wonderful hiking and biking trails as well as opportunities for swimming. A whitewater release in the Gorge happens twice a year, and is a highly anticipated attraction for boaters and spectators. Near the edge of the gorge, you will find many opportunities for shopping, art galleries, and restaurants. Regardless of whether you have a rental cabin along the beautiful lake or a private home, the views of the surrounding mountains and gorge compare to none.
